The Olympic Torch Relay
On Wednesday 23rd May, our Key Stage 2 enjoyed a cracking and unforgettable day where the spirit of the Olympics truly arrived at Rose Hill Westonbirt.
We were on the road early to watch the Olympic torch as it passed through the streets of Chippenham. We identified a great location next to Chippenham Football Club and we waited patiently until the moment arrived.
What an incredible sight it was! The children were beside themselves with excitement and the proud torch bearer received a rapturous welcome from our boys and girls as he passed by. That was not the end of the excitement as we then went onto Bowood House where the children had almost exclusive access to the adventure playground. A full picnic lunch followed.
