Cinderella & Rockerfella Musical
The end of June saw Rose Hill Westonbirt’ pupils stage the musical, ‘Cinderella & Rockerfella.’ One of the highlights of the school calendar, the musical was performed by all of the pupils from Y3 – Y8. School leavers from Y6 and Y8 performed key roles in this fun, pantomime-style musical, which encouraged audience participation.
Although extremely hard work, Head of Music, Mrs Shirley Jee, praised the pupils for their sterling performance “We are very proud of all the pupils. Rehearsals for the musical only began at the end of April and it is incredible how it has all come together in such a short amount of time. We stage a musical performance of some kind every term and this reflects the importance we place on music at the school.”
Cinderalla & Rockerfella is a musical by Mark and Helen Johnson, script by Sue Lanwade, with Out of the Ark Music. The musical was produced and directed by Head of Music, Shirley Jee, with Costumes by Amanda Hackett, Art assistance from Pat Bell and Backstage assistance from Moira Kielty.
