Talented pupils enjoy Rugby and Hockey Skills Day

Rugby Skills

Three boys and four girls from Rose Hill Westonbirt were selected to go to the Skills Day at Dean Close on 11th October. The boys had an action packed day of rugby while the girls enjoyed a day of hockey. The day began with some coaching from some very skilled coaches including the Bath rubgy player Andy Beattie and an England veteran hockey player. These fantastic coaches passed on their skills to the pupils from Rose Hill Westonbirt as well as children from schools scattered as far as Herefordshire. In the afternoon all of the children took part in a tournament, in which they displayed the skills learnt earlier in the day. A great, fun day with children that were well behaved, well mannered, and well motivated. The pupils were all super ambassadors for our school – well done! Two of the children (Chloe and Ethan) were on the winning teams during the afternoon tournament and received appropriate prizes. All the children received a goody bag and a souvenir photo of the day.
