Pupils at Rose Hill Westonbirt triumph on the field!
Pupils at Rose Hill Westonbirt have excelled in recent sport fixtures, with one pupil successfully representing the County in a District Cross Country event. Year 6 pupil Ysabella Sach ran for the Cirencester and District Cross Country Team in the Gloucestershire Primary Schools’ Cross Country Championships on Saturday, March 19th. Cross Country was also a winning subject for the U-8s, who achieved an unprecedented 1st, 2nd and 3rd position in the Kingshill School Cross Country Tournament on Monday, March 14th. Congratulations to Year 3 pupils Rachel Hatherell, Ellie Webster and Charlotte Houghton for this remarkable achievement.
In other news, Year 6 netball players were lucky enough to receive an all day netball course with 3 expert coaches recently, one of whom plays for Team Bath. The pupils practised and perfected a wide variety of skills, and learned how to work effectively as a team. The day was indeed a very active, beneficial and stimulating experience for the girls, enhanced by the expertise and wonderful welcome received by the coaches. The course seems to be paying off already, with the U-11 Bs winning a match against Silverhill on March 16th, final score 8-0 to Rose Hill Westonbirt!
