JNR RUGBY V ST MARGARET'S
Our junior rugby team endured a baptism of fire in their first serious match of contact rugby on Monday against St Margaret's.
Our boys put up a brave fight but the final score of 8 tries to 1 in favour of St Margaret's was a fair result. Matthew scored RHW's only try with a fine solo effort and he impressed throughout with some big hits. Well led by Harry Tayler, we tackled reasonably well and there was plenty of effort from our team with Elliot, Ollie and Luke making some good runs. Gabriel, Harry and Patrick were involved in the action througout and we all learned a great deal about the different demands that contact rugby poses.
Most of the St Margaret boys were Y4 and had been playing contact for some time so there is no shame in the score line and we will be back for the next fixture a little bruised but wiser and determined to improve.
Well done boys!
