Match report from Kingswood Rugby Festival- Monday 7th November at Kingswood School
On a wet and windy Monday, our junior rugby team took part in the Kingswood School junior rugby festival. We played 4 matches, against 'A' teams from Paragon, Kingswood, Monkton and King Edward School.
Our boys played competitive and strong rugby through-out winning comfortably against Kingswood and losing narrowly to Paragon and KES. Monkton proved a little too nimble for our boys and we lost heavily in that match not helped by the substitution of our captain Matthew who suffered a nasty leg injury. Despite missing the last match, Matthew finished our leading try scorer including a fine hat-trick of tries against Kingswood. Elliot and Gabriel also crossed the line.
Our junior team continues to make steady progress. We have much work to do especially with our defence but with each match comes fresh promise, Gabriel and Luke made some super bursts. Patrick, Ollie, and Harry continue to run hard and play an active part in most parts of the game.
