U8 Hockey match v Tockington-Wednesday 9th November

The under 8 hockey team played exceptionally well on Wednesday, earning them a 6-1 victory. The teamwork was excellent, with players holding their positions well. It is almost an impossible job to pick a player of the match because they each worked very hard throughout the game.

Emma Hillier was relentless on the opposition, as soon as the whistle blew, she would claim the ball, instantly giving our side the advantage for every play. Louisa Neal also worked well in the centre, tackling with tenacity. The wings, Lula White, Georgia Taylor and Zara Baker-Tuck stayed fast in their positions swapping defending and attacking strategies where appropriate. The defenders, Mia Seymour and Chloe Knight were a dynamite duo, stepping forward or back at just the right time and clearing to the side of the pitch. In fact, they were so good that Daisy Smith in goal was not overly tested, but she certainly looked the part and was an excellent ambassador for Rose Hill Westonbirt through her impeccible behaviour and sportsmanship to the Tockington team.

Well done to all!
