A pupil's view
Ethan, a Year 6 Pupil at Rose Hill Westonbirt School

I live near Chippenham and have been at Rose Hill Westonbirt since the Reception Class (age four!).
I have really enjoyed being here and have mixed feelings about leaving. Of course I am looking forward to making new friends at senior school but I will miss the great friends I have made here, the teachers and also playing sport here, particularly as the grounds are so amazing.
My favourite sport is rugby and I play on Thursday and Sunday for Chippenham Mini Rugby. I also swim for the Chippenham ASC on Tuesday and Sunday. Rose Hill Westonbirt has encouraged me enormously with sport and this helped me to win a major Rugby Sport Scholarship to Dean Close School (I was also offered sports scholarships to King Edwards and Kingswood Schools in Bath).
As well as rugby and swimming, I also enjoy playing football, cricket and hockey. At the weekends I also have fun on the off-road bike course on my mountain bike. I am really looking forward to watching the Olympics, particularly the BMX bike competition, table tennis and swimming.
As well as sport, another favourite subject of mine is ICT, also Science and DT. In DT we made trucks and money boxes which was really good fun. My least favourite subject is probably French! I find that a little bit hard! My little sister, who is four years old, is also here in the Nursery (Rosebuds) and loves it.
I think that Rose Hill Westonbirt can really help pupils to progress and achieve the results they are striving for because the teaching is excellent and the classes are compact so there is a lot of individual attention – I think if the classes were bigger this would definitely be more difficult.
I will leave with very good memories of Rose Hill Westonbirt School.
